Information lecterns
npk’s graphic design team was responsible for the design and lay-out of the nineteen various lecterns that are situated in the harbour area in Rotterdam. They inform the passer-by about the different activities of the industrious Port of Rotterdam. They also have an educational character, giving varied information about the culture, flora and fauna of the area. The design is inspired by the undulating shapes in the house style of the Port of Rotterdam. It forms a combination of short descriptions with panoramic/skyline photographs, close-ups and illustrations. Between the lecterns a bicycle route has been built.
