Middelburg station area
npk is responsible for the design of all elements around the railway station in Middelburg. These elements – the roofed-over waiting areas for travellers and drivers, the bicycle parking facilities, pergola, fences, lighting masts, and two lifts – form a visually coherent system. The graphic design team has made a unique contribution: on the glass windscreens under the roofing of the bus station there are seven poems in the shape of people waiting. The poems were written by singer 'Peter Slager' from the popular Zeeland pop group 'Bløf', and will certainly inspire travellers whilst waiting.
