Essence coffee machine
De Jong Duke developed the innovative fresh brewer system CoEx® for making various kinds of delicious, fresh coffee at low pressure and genuine original espresso at high pressure, both within a single machine. This innovation is intended for catering establishments and the office market.
npk was consulted on the product strategy for this new CoEx® line of machines. In intensive workshops with De Jong Duke, ‘look & feel’ aspects, functionality and type diversity were analysed to determine the character and the market positioning of the new machines.
The 'Essence' is the first machine to be designed in the CoEx® range. The design supports the character of the machine: it suggests quality and expertise, user-friendliness, durability, easy maintenance and, above all, freshness!
Together the engineers at npk and De Jong Duke solved technological problems and built trial models and prototypes for testing. The user instructions and brochure are designed by the npk graphic design team
