GlucoTel blood glucose meter
This compact blood glucose meter can wirelessly transmit blood glucose test results and is the first one that supports Bluetooth technology. The GlucoTel makes ‘patient monitoring’ possible through wireless communication, so a visit to the doctor is not necessary. Data can be transmitted using a cell phone. If the cell phone is within 15 metres of the device, the readings will be on the server within seconds. From there the secure servers can automatically send the data to a doctor’s office. The cell phone can read the result out loud in English. The GlucoTel is an example of universal design, does quick readings, needs only small blood samples and is very convenient for elderly people.
