Hospital bed
This radically new hospital bed combines the well-known flexibility of Schell with optimal user-friendliness as well as extra functionality. In developing the bed, the fence was the point of departure. The final result is a fence that can be operated very easily and with a restricted swing-out space can be completely stored away under the mattress. Thanks to the modular construction it is possible to build different versions of the fence with standard components. In order to realize the design of the head and foot board, in which all the operation elements are integrated, composite technology was used. The fresh colour scheme and the absence of visible technical details respond to the demand for a more home-like atmosphere in the healthcare industry. This project was a collaboration between npk and Scope Design & Strategy. Together they have realized a reliable and secure place for the patient with a modern appearance using advanced technology.
