BCT One Board Computer Taxi
New legislation regarding the nation wide introduction of the Board Computer Taxi has lead to an interesting assignment for the design of the BTC One. This product was developed in order to make the registration of taxi rides more transparent and to minimise the taxi driver’s paperwork. Until recently, taxi drivers had to register all data concerning the rides, including their working hours and resting times manually. These data are now digitally and reliably registered. The BTC One is so compact that installation is even possible within the sun visor. The operation of the touch screens is intuitive and conveniently arranged. The screen is clearly visible from all angles. The user unit is the interface for the driver and communicates with the basic unit. The basic unit stores the data and communicates with the other equipment built in to the taxi.
