City Centre Bench Rotterdam Style
The broad lines that are typical for the city of Rotterdam are emphasized and further elaborated in the Street Furniture Toolkit, within the vision of the Rotterdam style. On, between and around the big lines, space is created. There is room for interaction, warmth and human scale. The stylistic elements are timeless, robust and durable. For the series of seating elements, in order to express rhythm and dynamics, the continuing line was translated into the continual planks of wood in various widths. The main linear aesthetic was combined with a robust base as the foundation. The details are refined and simple. For the seating element in the centre of the city, the City Centre Bench, all different widths of the boards are used for the seat profile. This gives the bank a rhythmic expression and, within the range, the most dynamic character. It is a bench with style.
