Bridges Biesbosch Marina Drimmelen
The yacht-basin of Drimmelen in the south of the Netherlands is being expanded in phases and includes a new port and recreation area. The access bridges joining the embankments of the old and new port to the new floating docks, belonging to various aquatic sport associations, have been realised. They are made of plastic, aluminium and stainless steel, which is a unique combination of materials for the production of docks. The accompanying gateways are made of glass and aluminium. Poralu is the producer of the access bridges and gateways.
The five fixed bridges for car traffic and the movable bridge for passengers and cyclists, between the existing and the new port, are in preparation. The bridges are the showpiece of the new area, by means of the evident compatibility with the landscape architecture and the special and characteristic features of the area.
